In this video, I unbox an RTI Vetterli 1870/87/15, I share my first experience with RTI, and I clean this rifle up for a gift to my gf, who is Ethiopian. • The history of this rifle is that these were made as Vetterli model 1870. They were then converted to a magazine feed, still in 10.4mmR, which became known as as the Vetterli-Vitali 70/87. Then, in WW1, Italy, yet again, converted about 400,000 of these to 6.5 carcano. Which would become the Vetterli-Carcano 70/87/15. After the war, a lot were sent to various countries. One being Ethiopia where this rifle in the video was sent to and modified by Ethiopian gunsmiths. The one in the video is, what RTI says, an “Ethiopian Cut Down.” These rifles are L O N G, to put it promptly. So the Ethiopian cut them down by 6-12 inches (15-30cm) to make them less cumbersome. • Timestamps: • Unboxing: 0:00 • First Looks: 1:04 • Gun Disassembled: 2:57 • Boroscope Video: 9:01 • Trench Art: 12:54 • Gf’s Reaction: 13:13 • Outro: 16:22
