FINALLY! We are putting two very capable compact cinema cameras head-to-head in two real-world scenarios and talk through some key specs. This video is not meant to be a scientific stress test but to show you how we use the cameras so you can make the decision yourself. • From what I have seen in these test both the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO 6K and the BLACKMAGIC DESIGN POCKET CINEMA CAMERA 6K produce a gorgeous image. The REDCODE RAW certainly has more latitude and flexibility but if used right you can get a very similar looking image. Additional factors you want to consider are specifically the handling and workflow. R3Ds for example can be directly edited and graded in FCPX, while the B-RAW has to run through Resolve. For me that is certainly a big drawback. Again, it really depends on your needs and preferences.
