Amorphous solids lack long-range order but have atomic and nanoscale structural and chemical features that define many of their properties. This presentation describes the structure of important classes of amorphous materials, the geometrical and chemical concepts that govern the structure, and discuss experimental methods that enable precise characterization of structural parameters.
