Potentially the moment where Mason's friend, Reznov, dies while trying to escape Vorkuta prison. During the tear gas scene Reznov can be heard screaming for Mason and in the next scene Mason states, he never left me. This alludes to the joining of Mason and Reznov's personalities. Mason is cleared for duty and asked to assassinate Nikita Dragovich who is developing a WMD. In the nerve center at CIA HQ Mason begins to hear the numbers very strongly. This is because he has been programmed to kill President Kennedy based on those numbers being commands, but he does not because his friend Reznov interfered with the brainwashing.
