🐴Thorowgood offers two types of gullet bars: the S-Bars and the R-Bars🐴 • • The R-Bars are the longer of the two and are available in widths from Narrow Medium up to XW-XXW. The S-Bars are shorter and come in widths from Narrow Medium up to XXW. • • As a general rule with Thorowgood saddles, those with a round cantle typically use the R-Bars, while those with a square cantle take the S-Bars. • • However, there are exceptions. For instance, the T8 Low Wither GP has a round cantle but uses the S-Bars. On the other hand, the T8 Jump, despite having a square cantle, takes the R-Bars. • • S-Bars, being shorter and available in wider widths than the R-Bars, are typically found in saddles designed for wider, flat-backed, low withered horses and in pony models.
