Alphabet’s Company Story 2023 • Alphabet Inc. is an American multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mountain View, California. It was created on October 2, 2015, through a restructuring of Google, and became the parent company of Google and several former Google subsidiaries. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the two co-founders of Google remained as controlling shareholders, board members, and employees at Alphabet. Currently, Alphabet is the world's fourth-largest technology company by revenue. You may be wondering how they got there. Let’s find out in this video about Alphabet’s company story. • Alphabet Inc. was established to encourage a desire to make the core Google business cleaner and more accountable ,while allowing greater autonomy to group companies that operate in businesses other than Internet services. • In December 2019, founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin announced their resignation from their executive posts. The CEO role was filled by Sundar Pichai, who is also the CEO of Google. Page and Brin remain co-founders, employees, board members, and controlling shareholders of Alphabet Inc. • On August 10, 2015, Google Inc. announced plans to create a new public holding company, Alphabet Inc. Google CEO Larry Page made this announcement in a blog post on Google's official blog. The plan was to have Alphabet restructure Google by moving subsidiaries from Google to Alphabet, to narrow Google's scope. • The company would consist of Google, as well as other businesses including X Development, Calico, Nest, Verily, Fiber, Makani, CapitalG, and GV. The Product Chief, Sundar Pichai, replaced Larry Page as the new CEO of Google, who transitioned to the role of running Alphabet along with Google co-founder Sergey Brin. • According to Page, “Alphabet is mostly a collection of companies. The largest of which, of course, is Google. This newer Google is a bit slimmed down, with the companies that are pretty far afield of our main internet products contained in Alphabet instead. ... Fundamentally, we believe this allows us more management scale, as we can run things independently that aren't very related. • Page says the motivation behind the reorganization is to improve the transparency and oversight of what they're doing, and to allow greater control of unrelated companies. • #alphabet • #alphabetcareers • #googlealphabet • #alphabetcompany • alphabet, sundar pichai, larry page, alphabet companies, alphabet inc owner, google alphabet, google search, alphabets, microsoft stocks, microsoft share price, google share price, googl, google finance, alphabet careers, yahoo finance, googl stock price, msn money, msn news, alphabet inc, google case study, alphabet company, how big is google, google business model,Google Chrome (Web Browser),google earnings, google documentary, history of alphabet
