Dismantling Gear Shifter Motor Smart Fortwo 451 Passion 84BHP 2008

Following multiple videos on the 3 lines transmission fault which has affected my Smart Fortwo 451 Passion 84BHP, my secondhand gear shifter motor has arrived. Ahead of fitting this, I remove the end covers and clean out any dust with electrical contact cleaner. I also inspect the carbon brushes. The mating surface is cleaned in preparation for fitting.
