Hi there folks, time for another bass video. • • Cissy Strut by The Meters is one of the defining tracks of the music style we know as funk today due to its early influence on bands of the 70s and beyond (even if its realease was actually in the 60s, 1969 more precisely) A big part of that deal has to do with the legendary bassline contained in the track that many of you have already heard somewhere before for sure. • • Since I haven´t found any proper backing track for this specific song JUST FOR BASS (that would be a practice track with an entire mix minus the bass) on YouTube and I happen to have one in my PC I thought it would be a good idea to share it here with you. Of course, I couldn´t resist myself to give it a play too :) so the first 56 seconds of the video are an example of the bassline played over the backing track for those few who don´t know it.
