We stocked it with ISA Brown Layers. However, we are still undergoing constructions as we get the second and third Poultry Sheds / layer houses ready. These are High-rise, Caged Layer Facilities / Production buildings. As you can see, this is a battery cage system. We are using Big Dutchman poultry equipment. This High-rise, Caged Layer Facilities allow Poultry Manure from the cages to be fall into the storage area below. The advantages of this is that the poultry droppings may accumulate for several months or more before buildings are cleaned out. • In our Egg Farm Construction Update; we have shown: • 1. How we provide electricity 24/7 in our Poultry layer Farm. Unfortunately, there is no constant electricity in Nigeria; this is one of the challenges of poultry farming in Nigeria. In some areas like ours, it is none existence. As a result, we are completely energy independent. To us electricity for our staff is not a luxury; it is a basic necessity. • 2. We have completed the The poultry Egg Tray Washing Machine building. It is important to thoroughly clean all reusable plastic egg trays / crates that have been used. • 3. We have also completed the the Poultry Waste Incineration building and the 14 meters high Water Stand. The water tanks supplying water to staff is different from the the tanks supplying water to the ISA Brown Chickens. • 4. Our mural artist has returned to the egg farm to continue phase 2.
