Gehenna 8 - 00:57:55 • • Bandcamp: https://trepanationrecordings.bandcam... • • existent/nonexistent is a sound artist/experimental musician, audio engineer and photographer based out of Canada. existent/nonexistent creates his ‘musical’ pieces and soundscapes at his studio, Abattoir Studios, in Victoria, BC, Canada. • • existent/nonexistent uses a wide variety of synthesizers, organs/keyboards, samplers, found sounds, field recordings, feedback, contact microphone noise box, prepared guitar, electric guitar and bass, piano and theremin in his musical pieces. • • existent/nonexistent transcends all musical genres from: sound art, sound collage, musique concrete, experimental, electro-acoustic, noise, noise rock, lowercase, drone/ambient and minimalism. • • This was an experiment in ‘Indeterminacy’ and ‘randomness’. I would run a synthesizer through a variety of effects on a variety of tracks and record them. I would then listen back to the tracks and pick my favourite, limiting myself to 4 tracks. I then placed those 4 tracks, allowing them to match up indeterminate means. I did some panning, very little processing and a quick mix.
