Ever wonder how to make a Pan de Coco Filling when you live in the country without coconut trees? Here's what I've been making everytime I have orders of Pan de coco bread. My customers have been repeatedly orders pan de coco bread because they like it. You can try it too. • Pan de Coco Filling (Using sweetened Coconut Flakes • Ingredients: • 1 can (13.5fl oz) coconut milk • ½ cup dark brown sugar • 1 tsp vanilla • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional) • ½ tsp orange zest (optional) • 14 oz or 5½ cups coconut flaked ( sweetened or • unsweetened) • 2 tbsp molasses • DIRECTIONS: • Pour coconut milk in a pan and let it boil over medium heat. Add brown sugar, stir until completely dissolved. Add vanilla, coconut oil, and orange zest. Add in coconut flakes and give it a mix then add molasses. Mix it together until coconut completely coated. Turn heat to low and let it simmer for about 10 mins.
