Star Jam with Rachana Narayanankutty • Rachana Narayanankutty is an actress and television anchor from Kerala, India. She became popular through the television series Marimaayam. • She began her career in 2001 by acting in a small role as the heroine's friend in the film Theerthadanam. Though it was a small role, Rachana considers it as a gratifying experience to have begun her career through a film scripted by M. T. Vasudevan Nair. After her studies, she joined a radio as an RJ, where a producer spotted her and cast her in Marimaayam. Rachana had only intended to act in a single episode of Marimaayam, but was taken aback by the overwhelming response her character got, and decided to continue. • Her portrayal of Clara in the Lijo Jose Pellissery movie Amen starring Fahadh Faasil and Advocate Sai in the Ranjith Sankar movie Punyalan Agarbattis starring Jayasurya got her critical acclaim. • Her latest movies are Thingal Muthal Velli Vare and Kanthari.
