*English Subtitles are available • On this video we will learn how to download and use ElSemi's Model 2 Emulator, a Sega Model 2 emulator made exclusively for Windows PC (7, 8 / 8.1, 10). May happen on Windows 10): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl... • -Q A- • → Is there any version for Linux or Mac? • A: No. The emulator is closed source, made for Windows only, and uses DirectX 9. • → Where can I find complete Model 2 Romsets? • A: In Archive .org. • → How do I get past the Daytona USA Network Board not present screen? • A: Open the Test Menu with the F2 key, select Game System (Z goes down, C goes up, 1 selects), in Link ID choose Single. Go back to the menu and exit the test menu. The game should now start normally in all future matches. • → How do I get past the Manx TT Superbike test screen? • A: Directional pad to either side and the screen will display an error. Enter the Test Menu (F2 key). With the Test Menu open, roll the cursor and choose the Exit Test Menu option (F1 rolls the cursor, and F2 chooses the option). • → When I try to configure my USB controller on the emulator, the program crashes. What to do? • A: This is a known bug already, in which the program interface freezes and the emulator stops working if you have more than 3 USB devices connected to your PC at the same time (it counts everything, mouse, keyboard, etc). Just keep trying. Once configured, click Close to close the window and the emulator will save the control settings for the next matches. • → When i open the emulator, it says the file d3dx9_42.dll can't run or has an error, and the emulator won't start. How to solve this? • A: This error usually happens because of the lack of DirectX 9.0 drivers on your system. May happen on newer versions of Windows, like 10. To solve this, you can try downloading and installin the full DirectX End User June 2010 installer from the link above in this description. If that doesn't work for you, then you can try manually placing the missing DLL file on the Model 2 emulator's folder. The DirectX DLL files can be found on C: Windows/System (/SysWOW64 if you have 64 bit • OS). They will be on alphabetical order and starting with d3dx9 - 24 to 43. Then d3dx10 - from 33 until 43, e finally d3dx11 - 42 to 43.
