They reside underneath the earth and were created in the hopes of them becoming true dragons. We find out that the Dragonkin were never able to reach the level of the true dragons in terms as they never knew a true sky or lightning which led them to be bound to the ground and adopt ice lightning as their magic of choice. Tragically, the Dragonkin couldn’t reach the immortality of true dragons either and so perished as only decrepit, pale imitations of their skyborn kin. • There are many other easter eggs, references, and callbacks to Berserk in Elden Ring and From Software games including nods to Guts, the Dragonslayer, Berserker Armor, Griffith, the Godhand, and Apostles.
