In this video, I’m going to show you what happens in Mass Effect 3 if Miranda died on the Collector Base in Mass Effect 2. We’ll be exploring the unique dialogue and main story impact of this scenario. • 0:00 Introduction • 0:46 Priority: Horizon • 1:37 Logs from Oriana Lawson • 3:04 Confronting Henry Lawson • 3:25 Shepard Spares Henry Lawson • 4:30 Shepard Tricks Henry Then Shoots Him • 5:25 Shepard Kneecaps Oriana, Shoots Henry • 6:08 Shepard Kneecaps Oriana, But Spares Henry • 6:46 Oriana and Henry Lawson BOTH Die • 7:34 Tali's Unique Dialogue • So this actually happened to me on my very first playthrough of the Mass Effect Trilogy several years ago. If you don’t have Miranda’s loyalty in Mass Effect 2 - which I managed to lose by siding with Jack during their big fight - then there is a higher possibility that she will die during the final mission. • If this happens it will impact one specific main story mission in Mass Effect 3, called Priority: Horizon. During this mission, Shepard and crew track Cerberus to the Sanctuary Refugee facility on Horizon in an attempt to locate the Illusive Man’s base and recover the Prothean VI, which Kai Leng stole on Thessia. • When they arrive they discover that Cerberus is abandoning the facility and that it’s being overrun by husks, banshees, and all sorts of big nasties. Turns out Miranda’s father Henry was conducting experiments for Cerberus, hoping to discover how to control the Reapers. • Typically during this mission, you will discover audio logs and surveillance footage left by Miranda, detailing her father’s crimes and warning people to stay away from this facility since it’s not the refugee sanctuary that's been advertised. • But without Miranda, these logs are narrated by her sister Oriana instead. • At the end of the mission, Shepard will catch up with Henry Lawson, who is holding his daughter Oriana hostage. The dialogue in this standoff plays out mostly the same as usual, minus the parts with Miranda, but the outcomes are unique. Shepard can shoot Henry Lawson, let him go, or watch Henry and Oriana both die - with some variation in the exact way it plays out.
