False Albacore Fishing on Cape Cod Full Episode

False albacore (also known as albies) typically arrive in #CapeCod waters by the end of August. Fishing for albies off Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket can remain good throughout September and even into October. • Today I wanted to share the first television episode that the team at My Fishing Cape Cod and I ever created about fishing for #falsealbacore. This episode was filmed during September of 2018, and I'm sure some of you knowledgeable viewers will recognize the location. • This episode will be a good watch for anyone interested in learning about #CapeCodFishing for false albacore fishing around the Cape the Islands. You'll get advice for targeting #albies with spinning tackle, as well as with fly fishing tackle. • In the first half of the episode, I go fishing with my friend captain Dave Steeves of the Goose Hummock Shops. Dave is an excellent fly fisherman. Throughout the trip he cast a sinking line with a tootie frutie fly to fool some finicky albies which were scattered and difficult to catch. • At the end of the episode, I go fishing with My Fishing Cape Cod member Hayden Gallagher. Hayden has been following MFCC for quite a few years now, and it was great to get him out on my boat the Miss Loretta to do some albie fishing. Once again the albacore were difficult to find and catch, however Hayden finally scored at the end of the shoot when he fooled a finicky albie using an epoxy jig. • As mentioned above, this episode originally aired during 2018.
