We often heard our German friends refer to the Dutch as “cheese eaters”. Ummmm… what…? Is that meant to be an insult? Really? • If they really are cheese eaters then it’s for a real good reason. Dutch cheese is amazing! In fact, Gouda is the cheese capital of the Netherlands and it’s a globally known variety. We had to go there and see for ourselves. • The Netherlands is basically heaven for cheese lovers with the best cheese displays and cheese stores we’ve ever seen.
