SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — In an industry where women make up just 9 percent of the workforce, a Utah group is taking flight to inspire the next generation of female pilots and aviation professionals. • One of those future aviators is 11-year-old Alyssa Beck, who recently got a firsthand look into the world of aviation during Girls in Aviation Day at the Sky West hangar in Salt Lake City, an international event that brings girls up close with planes, pilots, and the women leading the way. • “When do you want to fly?” KUTV’s Kristen Kenney asks Alyssa. • “When I’m 16,” she replies confidently. Alyssa dreams of following in the footsteps of legendary aviators like Amelia Earhart. “I want to do small planes like Amelia Earhart!” she adds with a smile. • FULL STORY: https://kutv.com/news/eye-on-utah/ins... • Hit the subscribe button to stay up to date on the latest news and turn on notifications to get alerted when the big stories break as we bring them to you live!
