Directed by Stanley Kubrick, this WWI psychological military drama was initially set to starr Gregory Peck --- when Peck turned the film down, however, the lead role went to Kirk Douglas. As much as I love Gregory Peck's work, I think 'Paths of Glory' is the best thing Kirk Douglas ever did in his long and famed career.
