This is part 6 of the loop knot testing series. This is the last video of the loop knot testing series of dropper loop testing with monofilament fishing line to test breaking strength. • At the end of this video, I tabulate the average values of all lines tested in this 6 part series. The next series of videos will be focusing on terminal knots such as the clinch knot, Palomar knot, and others. Hoping to do some line-to-line knots of braid to mono/fluoro but the spring season is approaching quickly and it may need to be part of the next off-season of testing videos. • There are so many factors that go into knot strength and my testing machine is extremely primitive so please understand my results are limited to what I could do with what I have. Some variables that should be noted: digital scale without hold at the peak, knots are cinched moderately tight without any lubricant, lines were not pre-soaked in water, speed of pull can vary since pulling manually, marketed rating of breaking strength on the label is almost always different than the actual breaking strength of the line. • #fishinglinetest #fishingknotstrength #fishingline
