My 2002 Ford F250 Powerstroke diesel truck recently had a leak develop in its heater core and it was necessary to bypass it in order to get back on the road. The heater core is responsible for warming the air when you turn on the heat inside the car. Coolant flows in and then out of the heater core, so knowing how to bypass it can be helpful! • The heater core bypass process is pretty simple and requires basic tools and some sort of coupler like below, to join the hoses together.
