That said there's been a number of ex-military designs that have gone from smiting enemies to serving with distinction within the space program. Others have been lost to the mist of times through a combination of poor record keeping and general incompetence. Most infamous among these are the Black Mamba stealth gunships that were at least de-armed before they were misplaced. Attempts have been made to find them but dark camouflage and that darn stealth paint have thus far made the search fruitless. Rumour has it there's been one detected in the vicinity of Duna but it's probably just the microwave playing up again. Still, I suppose we'd better send Jeb and Val to investigate. • Hello lovely people. My, it has been a while hasn't it? A combination of flying, maintenance on said flying machine, nest feathering and courting the (hopefully) future Mrs Cupcake hasn't left much time for KSP. It's been nice getting back into it again though, and the huge number of new designs reflects the fact that I missed playing KSP. Before I got further I just want to say a huge thankyou to Blackrack, for the kind use of his incredible True Volumetric Clouds Mod. Working in combination with Linx's Parallax Mod this has really supercharged the visuals of the game and I strongly suggest joining his Patreon. • / blackrack • Now without further ado onto the crafts: • Sloop/Schooner - Complimenting the Corvette class these light/medium long range cruisers still pump out plenty of DV but in a more compact, manageable form factor. Each vessel can house up to two crew members onboard. • Vampire - A Bigger, meaner, scarier version of the Maximillian recovery droid that is especially adept at recovering craft or debris either on the surface or in orbit. Use on Kerbals is banned under the Geneva convention. • War Piglet - A rounding error in the design brief led to what was supposed to be a fearsome assault vessel becoming something altogether more adorable. While not as efficient as the Puff Puff the War Piglet does feature a few niceties such as lights, batteries, a USB 1.0 port and a Bluetooth speaker (mono) with RideOfTheValkyries.mp3 set to play on repeat. • Bowser - Built to transport heavy loads of cargo or fuel across the Ice Flats of Minmus these formidable ice trikes have come to dominate the landscape. Smaller vessels are advised to steer well clear of them lest they too end up wreckage that has to be crowbarred out of the wheel well. • Thundersley Invacar 2.0 - This dependable little Ice skater has just had a major overhaul with a vast itinerary of improvements including; much faster acceleration, higher fuel capacity, better handling and an onboard electrical system. Buy yours before the end of May to receive a free rear mounted cooler/warmer that can keep your pizzas warm or your beer cold for up to 12 hours. • Angel - Another ex-military design this mining droid was originally designed to provide a source of fuel and power behind enemy lines. Use of the cooling fins to heat MREs will cause a catastrophic failure of the unit and or/explosion. Must be used upright (see arrow). • Gerbil - Heavy, impractical, difficult to drive and awkward to transport but we'll forget all that because monowheels are awesome. Don't argue with me, they just are. • Black Mamba - Why are you making me talk about this design? It's not like they'll ever find it? Well yes, I would like to get paid. Ok, fine then. The Black Mamba eschews the traditional H layout by positioning the central turret towards the rear of the craft. How do they keep it balanced you ask? Well, that's a very good question, I've often wondered myself but apparently the design is perfectly balanced across the horizontal and vertical axis. Fuel economy and range are also reported to be excellent. The craft also features two claws allowing fuel to be borrowed from nearby vessels or the remains of them. Oh yes, and don't go near them until the safety interlocks can be re-installed. The on board AI has been a bit... temperamental. • What?! You want even more designs? Well, you'll just have to join my Patreon then. That way you'll get your filthy, disgusting hands on them well before anyone else. Plus of course video pre-releases and all manner of behind the scenes goodies. • / cupcakelanders • If our soundtrack this video sounds familiar it's because it comes from the iconic Sonic The Hedgehog soundtrack that was lovingly composed by Masato Nakamura. I don't own the rights to this recording this is fan love, pure and simple. • Bye for now! • Love Cupcake...
