Grand Wailea Luau Now Open 2021 Update

We share our experience from last week at the newly reopened Grand Wailea Luau. With COVID-19 regulations, we didn't know what to expect. This books up fast: https://activityauthority.com/hawaii/... • And after having been to this Maui luau many times before, we were thrilled to see that the changes they made were for the better. We break it down below: • • Upon entering, you get the same jovial greeting, though everyone is wearing masks. We're getting used to that. Your lei is on your chair. • • The tables are spread far apart, and due to rules on capacity, it far from crowded. It's better than before because of this. They've also redone some of the grounds. Having tables so far away from each other made for a great view of the show from every table too. • • The bars are open, and you can go up to them, but table service is also there for drinks and all your food. • • The food was amazing, as always. We quite liked table-service versus buffet. We were served more than enough for our foursome. Dish after dish of delicious Polynesian cuisine. • • Of course, the music was as great as it has always been. The only big difference that was not as good was when they taught hula. Normally, brave souls from the audience go up on stage to learn dances. Because of COVID, we learned at our tables. Not a big deal, but it's fun to get the kids up there on stage. • • The show was a little different from the last time we came. Some different dances and songs. Nothing changed due to COVID, it was just different. A great show! • • The fire dancers were better than ever! We liked that they got up on the roof wall to dance too. It was impressive as always! • CONCLUSION: • If anything, COVID-19 has made this luau better. We didn't have to wear masks at the table, and everything was brought to us. It was perhaps an even easier experience compared to before. So much fun! Mahalo!
