Minus One is getting a sequel. • At least, the director is planning on it. He has expressed interest in doing a sequel with a quality human plot that aligns with a kaiju battle. He also wants there to be a few years' time skip. • Recently, Yamazaki confirmed that the markings on the female protagonist are, in fact, Godzilla cells. This might lead to Godzilla homing in on her, or maybe she loses cognizance and becomes a kaiju herself, which Koichi has to devastatingly watch as Godzilla battles her. • The studios are taking a different approach than in prior decades and have said they will take their time to focus on quality rather than rush to make a sequel. • There is a rumor that the sequel will be titled Godzilla Zero but this has not been confirmed. • The director, Takashi Yamazaki, also expressed interest in directing a Star Wars movie. Disney, hire this man now! • But a Godzilla Minus One sequel means two Godzilla universes will exist at the same time.
