In ancient times, there were 13 basic Tai Chi principles. 8 were called the 8 energies and they were the upper body movements like for example push and pull. 5 were called the 5 steps which were the lower body movements like move forward, backwards to the sides or even stand in the middle. The ancient practioners would practice these 13 principles by themselves, until they started to create Tai Chi forms. These forms were all of these 13 principles put together in a series of movements that linked from one to the other. In these forms the postures separate and recombine with transitions to make other postures. This allowed them to practice these principles in a more structured manner. • Sign up here to get these YouTube videos in your inbox. https://tinyurl.com/taiflow and learn more about Leia's history and the path that lead her to Tai Chi. • Follow my Instagram : @leiacohen •   / leiacohen   • Like my Facebook page :   / tailfow   • Join my Facebook group: •   / 119003625185920   • *Note: I will only accept you into the group if you answer my questions and it is ok to be in the group if you haven't started your Tai Chi journey yet :)
