Bacteria produce a special kind of toxin called AB toxin. Cholera toxin belongs to that type. It uses a special mechanism called ADP ribosylation to keep the G-protein continuously active which causes opening of certain channels thereby losing water from the cells. In this video you get to learn the molecular mechanism underlying the infamous disease called cholera. • • 📖My published book chapter- https://www.caister.com/biofilms2020 • 📃My published scientific paper - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33103... • 📚My ebook database - https://www.notion.so/Books-for-Biolo... • • 📕 Facebook - / akamitra20 • 🐤Twitter - / akamitra20 • 🎵Study with me Playlist - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6oN... • Who am I - • I'm Akash, a Microbiologist 🔬 and a freelance Biology Teacher.
