New 2023 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO XI - Reborn popular sedan • __________ • Earlier this year, automotive designer Enoch Gonzales imagined what a modern-day Mitsubishi Lancer could look like. Fast forward to the middle of the year and he has followed up these renderings with a performance-focused 2023 Evolution variant of the Lancer. • While the overall shape of the car is similar to Enoch’s entry-level 2023 Mitsubishi Lancer, the Evo benefits from a plethora of modifications. These changes start at the front where the LED headlights have been redesigned and are now much more aggressive. The car also features a set of rally-inspired circular LED fog lights and has a gaping wide black grille. The front end has also been imagined with large air intakes, a pronounced splitter, and a bold hood with an air extraction vent to keep the engine bay nice and cool. • Moving to the sides and Enoch has imagined the 2023 Lancer Evolution with a set of matte black BBS wheels. The rally-bred sedan also features air vents behind the front wheels, extended side skirts, and has shapely rear doors with complex and angular body lines and creases. Interestingly, the side profile does remind us of the current Honda Civic Type R. • This aggressive theme is carried through to the rear end where there is a towering fixed rear wing and LED taillights with a prominent light bar stretching between them. Rounding out the performance car features are quad tailpipes. • As much as we would love to see Mitsubishi revive the Lancer Evolution, it is highly unlikely it will ever do so. • Thank you for watching!
