In April 2019, The 30 year reign of Sudan’s Omar al-Bashir came to an end. Like previous Sudanese leaders, he was finally toppled by the army, which finally sided with the people over the president. • The country of Sudan itself, has had 15 coup attempts, five of them successful – more than any other country on the continent of Africa.
