Getting the right consistency when you mix your china paints is key to successful porcelain painting. China paints are made up of ground mineral pigments and a finely ground glass called, flux that is similar to the glaze on porcelain. They have to be mixed/ground to a paint consistency to use them. I use heavy mineral oil to grind my paints.
