To avoid distortions and bad audio effects, a good setup of the turntable's arm help to full enjoy the clarity and warm of our records. • Here a Tutorial to help you in this task. • It's not so difficult! • Set up the Turntable: • 1. Balancing the Tone Arm • Start with the turntable powered off, ensuring the counterweight is correctly attached to the rear of the tone arm, with the numbers on the stylus force gauge ring facing the front. • With the tone arm locked in place, carefully remove the protective cover from the stylus by sliding it forward off the cartridge. Take care not to damage the exposed stylus. • Hold the headshell gently to steady the tone arm, then release the locking clamp to prevent the tone arm from swinging freely, as it is unbalanced at this stage. • With the cueing lever in the down position, continue to hold the headshell just above the rest. • Slowly rotate the counterweight at the rear of the tone arm until the arm is horizontally balanced, like a see-saw with equal weight on both sides. When balanced, the headshell will hover freely above the rest position, without moving up or down. You may need to try a few times to find the correct counterweight position. • Once balanced, lock the tone arm back into its rest position, taking care not to disturb the counterweight to maintain the balance point. • • 2. Setting the Tracking Force • Each cartridge has a recommended tracking force, which can be found in its user manual or packaging. • Locate the stylus force gauge ring on the front of the counterweight, which rotates independently from the counterweight itself. After balancing the tone arm, rotate the force gauge ring until the number 0 aligns with the centreline on top of the tone arm, marking the counterweight’s balanced zero gravity position. • To set the desired tracking force, rotate the entire counterweight assembly counterclockwise. The force gauge ring will move along with the counterweight, allowing you to adjust it for a specific tracking force. For example, if you're using the AT-VM95E cartridge, which requires a tracking force of 2.0 grams, rotate the counterweight until the number 2 lines up with the centreline on the tone arm. • Always use the recommended tracking force for your specific cartridge, and ensure the cartridge is properly aligned with the tone arm. • • 3. Setting the Anti-Skate • To set the anti-skate function, adjust the pre-calibrated knob located to the right of the tone arm to match the tracking force value you set earlier. This should provide good channel balance, reduce distortion, and minimize stylus and record wear. If adjusting the anti-skate doesn't resolve a specific issue, there may be another underlying cause. • If you have followed these steps and are still experiencing problems, feel free to contact us for further assistance. • Chapters: • 00:00 - Balancing The Tone Arm • 00:44 - Setting the Tracking Force • 02:14 - Setting the Anti-Skate • 03:18 - Cartridge alignment • Anti-Sliding LP Vinyl Record on Amazon: • https://a.co/d/b9Ylgzi • Links: •   / vinylheropage   •   / vinyl.h.e.r.o   •    / @vinylhero   •   / hero_vinyl72088   • #tutorial #vinyl #records #music #turntable #setup #settings
