The EGR valve was bad. On the 3.8 it in the back of the motor on the passenger side. Right near the rear spark plug. I was warned that it was a pain to change and hard to get to. They weren’t kidding. • Here’s the steps. • 1- Remove fender wells. Leave flairs attached. 5 bolts 10mm. • 2- Spray red plug clip and mounting bolts. • 3- Remove pipe on side and the top end on the valve cover. 8mm • 4- Remove easy EGR mounting bolt. The front one can be broken free with 3/8 socket drive and 10mm socket. • 5- With EGR pipe out of the way, insert socket extension into hole on side. Push on top of EGR twisting counter clockwise. Between the socket extension and valve you should have sufficient leverage to loosen rear bolt. • 6- Lower EGR valve and slide red plug clip sideways. Use pick or small screwdriver to free plug. It’s a pain. • New EGR Valve install. • 1- Attach plug and slide red clip towards front. • 2- After wire is reattached start with front easy bolt with new gasket first. • 3- After it’s threaded then put second bolt in. Don’t forget the gasket. • 4- Attach EGR pipe and gasket. • 5- Attach top of EGR pipe to valve cover. • 6- Start engine to make sure all is well. • 7- Put fender back on. • Tools: • Stubby 10mm ratcheting wrench. • 3/8 and 1/4 drive ratchet. • 10mm Deep and shallow • 8mm Deep well. • Picks and needle nose pliers. • New fender clips. • • Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set - Metric, 7-Piece • https://amzn.to/3cBPCLh • • Parts: • https://www.1995wrangler.com/parts.html • Merch: • https://www.redbubble.com/people/OffR... • Need some parts covered in our videos?
