Mustang GT Runs From Arkansas State Police

10-10-2024, at approximately 5:00 P.M., I was traveling east on Kelley Hwy, just east of Albert Pike. I spotted a black Ford Mustang traveling westbound at a high rate of speed. I clocked the Mustang at 62 MPH in a 40 MPH zone. I made a U-turn to initiate a traffic stop on the Mustang. The driver started to flee as I was turning around. I pursued the black Mustang west on Kelley Hwy, north on 6TH Street, northeast on Newlon Road, and south on Midland Boulevard. The fleeing suspect was traveling in the turning lane passing other traffic. This caused a lot of dirt to fly up, hindering my vision so I could no longer see • the fleeing suspect. I lost sight of the fleeing suspect on Midland Boulevard and Albert Pike. I observed the fleeing suspect driving recklessly with no regard for the public by driving at speeds in excess of 100 MPH. I • observed the fleeing suspect disobeying stops signs and red lights. The fleeing suspect was driving into on-coming traffic, and in the center turn lane. • Trp. C. Dobbins spotted the fleeing vehicle traveling west on Midland Boulevard and North 32nd Street. Trp. Dobbins pursued the fleeing suspect westbound on Midland Boulevard and lost sight of the Mustang due to the dirt cloud. A short time later, Trp. • Dobbins was traveling east on North O Street approaching May Avenue. Trp. Dobbins spotted the fleeing vehicle traveling north on May Avenue approaching North O Street. Trp. Dobbins intercepted the fleeing vehicle at the May Avenue and North O • Street intersection. Trp. Dobbins placed the suspect under arrest without any further incident. Upon my arrival, I identified the fleeing suspect as GONZALO PARGA. Trp. Dobbins released Parga to my custody.
