!!!SPOILER ALERT!!! • Discussion themes remix from Danganronpa series! (original by Masafumi Takada) • ============================================================= • Unexpected, isn't it? It was also a revelation for me that a year ago I would really start to love the Danganronpa series of games! And as always, my heart was captured by the soundtrack. Masafumi Takada wrote really cool and memorable tracks, especially for Class Trials. I really liked these four discussion tracks. So I couldn't pass by and not make my own interpretation of them! • And now in order: • 1) BREAK I wanted to make approximately the original, focusing on the gloom, which was what Trigger Happy Havoc felt like. I introduced the motives of the EDGE version here, and also added a sample of BOX 15, since the elements of investigation in the discussion take place, since new facts are born in the process of discussions. Well, these were my thought processes behind this idea. • 2) HEAT UP, on the contrary, I wanted to make it crazier. To create a tropical vibe, I added acoustic guitars that accompany the main instrumental parts, as well as a lot of synthesizers with the character of 8-bit games to emphasize the virtuality of what is happening. I added IKOROSHIA motifs, since they create exactly the madness that accompanied Goodbye Despair (Nagito appears precisely because his behavior and character describe the entire 2nd part of the series very well (and in addition, I really like him as a character, hehe). Another interesting thing is that I found a sample from the BREAK B Side version, which is thematically suitable, in my opinion. • 3) PANIC I wanted to do entirely with electric guitars, but synthesizers were suitable for emphasizing the bass parts. Interestingly, there are motifs from Living in a Lazy Parallel World, since the melody is well suited to emphasize the melancholy and the feeling of revealing secrets, and I also added the Despair Searching theme, following the same logic as with the previous track. It turned out very percussive and awkward, just the way it should be, it conveys the feeling of panic well, in my opinion! • 4) And here is the cherry on the cake, HOPE vs DESPAIR! I made this track first, as I was very obsessed with the idea of using elements of execution themes symbolically to show how the potential killer is about to crack and be punished. There are also two hidden Monokuma themes here, I hope you recognize them! • As for the video, although I did make it, the result was not quite what I wanted, so there was a feeling of dissatisfaction, since a lot of time and effort was spent. But the desire to share the tracks with you before the New Year was stronger, so I did it as best I could!
