I Am A Prepper Like Many With No Professional Background • Many in the emergency preparedness community benefit from a professional background in law enforcement or the military. Most do not. • I always appreciate when preppers that have professional experience chime in with their suggestions and advice. It is greatly appreciated. I myself do not have any of that experience and anything I can learn from those that do is very helpful. The issue with some of these skills regarding self defense, medical, gardening, communications and anything else more advanced is that they have to be practiced. Storing away surplus supplies is really only limited by affordability and space. The skills required to do it are very basic. But the skills to use specialized equipment require practice, professional training and repetition. Which is why I do what I can with what I have. Like I said, I am like most of you.
