In order to perform decimal division, we use the same long division process with the main exception that we must keep track of the decimal position in the final answer. Also, we are allowed to add trailing zeros as needed as those don't affect the number value. We continue the process until the remainder is zero or the decimal pattern of the answer begins to repeat.
