In this tutorial I show you how to remove the rear brake drum from a Fiesta WITHOUT undoing the wheel bearing from it’s shaft. This is actually the way Ford recommend it to be done on a whole host of cars (such as Fiesta, Escort, Puma and more). • For some reason though, aftermarket service manuals instruct to remove the bearing. I’ve even known garages do it by undoing the bearing. Doing it like that risks damaging the bearing. Follow this video and you remove that risk and it’s much easier too. • Here are links to tools and equipment seen in this video or which would be useful to have for this job: • A set of 1/2inch drive wobble extensions from Nielsen: • https://amzn.to/2LVSxzb • A set of mixed size wobble extensions from Draper Expert • https://amzn.to/2JciBIR • Draper Expert 50mm ½” wobble as seen in the video • https://amzn.to/2JcMmFb • You’d like to think brake cleaner is brake cleaner! But this is about the best I’ve used and with an excellent strong jet spray. And great value here if you buy in quantity. Normfest MC-1 brake cleaner • https://amzn.to/2IVMOM9 • The small sized socket and extensions used on the ABS sensor were these from Draper Expert: • https://amzn.to/2IROJ4i • These chocks are from Sealey. I’ve had mine for years (set of 2) • https://amzn.to/2JFqN3B • If I were buying now though I’d get this set of 4 with handles: • https://amzn.to/2sEru3c • The digital caliper you saw is very similar to this one: • https://amzn.to/2ISPSbR • • Making these videos is a “passion” for me. I’m using my 35+ years as an Automotive Engineer and car maintenance DIYer and hope they help people out. • If this video has saved you some time, hassle or money and has been an “enabler” for you and you’d like to show your appreciation by buying me a coffee then follow this link • http://paypal.me/cyclonecyd • Thank you.
