A Bumblebees Are Out animation meme? In this year? You bet! I remember starting the meme with Lucy’s backstory in mind when the meme was popular but I never finished it. Well today(not really today today but you know what I mean), I rolled up my sleeves, restarted the project and finished the meme. I like the way it came out and I’m finally able to share Lucy’s backstory! I want to share so much but I think it would be fun to hear some theories first. Then I’ll share :) • Now lets talk about the project. I know there isn’t a lot of animation and thats because I made myself do none. I tend to overdo the animation process which slowly demotivates me, so I decided to keep things simple. I wanted to have this rough brush to give it a “dreamy” effect like you normally see in backstories. The colors don’t really mean much (aside from red cause thats just blood) and I just chose purple because I like purple. I’m also proud of the backgrounds I made. They’re simple but I made some sort of effort to make it coherent and you have an understanding of where you are. I didn’t really plan Lucy’s house so thats why it looks super generic. Also you’ll probably notice that Adrian only show ups only once and thats because if I added him to other scenes, it felt like the focus was on the two of them and not on Lucy and this is Lucy’s story. One challenge about this song is how short it is. The song is pretty short so it challenged my storytelling skills. Also, this is my first actually dark animation meme which I find interesting. All the animation memes I’ve posted on my YouTube are pretty lighthearted so this is definitely a change in pace. • Now to go into some character stuff. Let me introduce you the 3 new characters: Daniel (with gotee), Samantha (long hair with cross) and Micheal (closed eyes and cross).
