Although not very difficult to play, it does have sort of an odd feel to it due to it's uncommon time signature. • In the first of Money guitar lesson videos below, I will teach you that signature riff and how to count it. It is actually very simple but extremely effective. • The technical challenges are few with just some slight palm muting to help the notes pop-out a bit and give the rhythm that funky feel. • Don't forget about the slight 1/4 step bend at the very end of the riff. That bend is very much a part of the riff's sound giving it sort of a bluesy edge. • Hopefully you guys won't have much trouble with this one. It sure is an addictive riff once you get it under your fingers! • In the second video lesson, we will begin our look at David Gilmour's epic solo in Money . There is going to be a lot of cool stuff to learn here! • This solo is basically in 3 sections. In the first guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play the first two sections note-for-note. There is some very cool a melodic bends and slides to be found throughout, so make sure your calluses are in good shape! • The second guitar solo lesson video will cover the 3rd section of the solo note-for-note. David Gilmour actually used a custom 24 fret guitar made by Bill Lewis in order to get to the high notes in this section. I will also switch to a 24 fret guitar as well in order to teach you the solo the way it was actually recorded. • These days, when performing live, David Gilmour just improvises in a lower register during the high parts in Money since he has a strat in his hand that doesn't have that kind of range. So if you don't have a guitar with at least 22 frets, you may want to do the same. By the way, you don't actually need all 24 frets, just 22. :) • Have Fun! • Carl..
