Pete Seeger visits the Bruderhof

Long-time friend Pete Seeger visited the Bruderhof on February 28, 2013. • As part of his visit, Seeger held an assembly at the Mount Academy where he told students about his early life and discovering his love of music. He told about the Civil Rights movement, joining Dr. Martin Luther KIng, Jr. and Harry Bellafonte on the march from Selma to Montgomery, and discussed the power of song. • To end, he led the crowd in We Shall Overcome. • As a neighbor, Pete Seeger has visited the Bruderhof many times and our school choirs have shared the stage with him on occasion. • clearwater barnraising 06 -- Pete See... • ~~~~~ • What is the Bruderhof? • The Bruderhof is an intentional Christian community of people living in radical discipleship in the spirit of the first church in Jerusalem.
