https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... • Above is the paper. Bite jumping appliances are used in orthodontics to induce articular cartilage endochondral ossification of the jaw. We could potentially mimic this in other bones to grow taller. The problem is that other catilagenous regions do not have something like the lateral pterygoid muscle to stimulate the cartilage in the same way. Potentially electrical stimulation could be used to mimic the stimulus of the lateral pterygoid muscle. Unfortunately, we cant know for sure if the device in this study actually stimulated the cartilage. • Its also possible to use bone resorption and formation to grow taller that way. We’d have to test it out though. • Itd also be possible to increase height via bone formation at the top of the feet and the bottom of the skull.
