SUBSCRIBE Press the BELL ICON to get the latest updates • about all the upcoming videos!! • Previously we have discussed about a star named TRAPPIST-1, but today, we’ll discuss about its 7 planets. • You can watch Part 1 of this video here :- • This Star has 7 Exoplanets Revolving ... • This 7 planet solar system, has 3 planets TRAPPIST-1b, TRAPPIST-1c and TRAPPIST-1g bigger heavier than the Earth, 2 planets TRAPPIST-1d and TRAPPIST-1h smaller lighter than the Earth and the remaining 2 planets TRAPPIST-1e and TRAPPIST-1f are almost Earth-sized planets. • 3 of these planets TRAPPIST-1e, TRAPPIST-1f and TRAPPIST-1g lies in the habitable zone of its host star, means these 3 planets are most likely to hold liquid water. • A 2018 study revealed that all planets are rocky planets except TRAPPIST-1g. Scientists will need more data to determine the composition of TRAPPIST-1g. • All 7 exoplanets orbit TRAPPIST-1, closer than, mercury to our sun and has orbital period range from 1.5 to 20 days, rather than months and years like in our solar system. • NASA's Hubble Space Telescope also determined that TRAPPIST-1b, TRAPPIST-1c,……,1f do not have hydrogen-rich atmospheres like Jupiter or Saturn but TRAPPIST-1g can have high amount of hydrogen in its atmosphere while TRAPPIST-1h can be an icy-planet like Pluto. • Timescales:- • 00:02 - trappist 1 • 00:29 - trappist 1b • 00:39 - trappist 1d • 00:49 - trappist 1e • 01:00 - trappist 1f • 01:11 - earth like planets • 01:27 - trappist 1g • 01:48 - exoplanets • 02:20 - trappist 1c • 02:45 - trappist 1h • 03:00 - moons • Tags :- • #scienceofspace #trappist #trappist1
