They detect the flame in air at a very early phase by sensing smoke or/and warmth and raise an alarm that warns people about the flame and provides sufficient time to take preventive measures. It not only prevents huge losses brought on by deadly fire but sometimes proves to be lifesavers. Alarms in these systems are automatically activated from heat and smoke detectors, where alarm unit can be electronic buzzer, motorized bell or horns. • This system shown in the demonstration has a key component working as a fire detector or fire sensor, a thermistor. A thermistor is a temperature sensitive resistor, whose resistance Varies according to the temperature, its resistance decreases with the increase in temperature and vice versa.
