This demonstrates using ArduPilot SITL (software in the loop) simulation to fly a B747-400 in X-Plane 10. It does an automatic takeoff, a short flight off Sydney and then an automatic landing at Sydney airport. • Note that this video is not meant to imply that ArduPilot should be used for manned aircraft. It definately should not.
