Moong Dal Namkeen (Fried Crispy Moong Dal) • Ingredients • Moong Dal (soaked and dried) • Oil for deep frying • Salt • Chilli powder / Pepper (optional) • Method: • 1. Soak the moong dal in water for 2 hours. Strain and dry it thoroughly • 2. Heat oil in a kadai to boiling point • 3. Take handful of dried dal in a wide sieve. Dip it in oil and fry the moong dal till its golden brown in color • 4. Transfer to a container with kitchen tissue to absorb excess oil • 5. Sprinke salt chilli powder (optional) and mix well. • Done • Note: The dal must be completely dry before frying.
