I hiked 22 miles on the Adena Trace Trail at Brookville Lake

So I had an idea to hike 26 miles in a day at Brookville Lake in Brookville Indiana. The trail I hiked was the Adena Trace Trail and it is a 26-mile loop trail. Technically, there is no camping allowed on the trail so it either has to be done in one day or by sections. I chose to do it in one day and quickly found out how much harder that option was. Along the way, I lost my coat and temperatures were dropping at night to 27 degrees that night. I started out at 7:30 am and finished at midnight. It was a very long day, to say the least. At about 4 miles left to go, I simply ran out of juice and could not go another step. I managed to make it to the North Fairfield Causeway and a friend came to pick me up and take me to my truck at the Midway trailhead.
