Manada Hill Massacre of 1757 documents a family during the French and Indian War. The war is placed into the context of one family’s firsthand experience. During 1755 AD to 1763 AD, the Pennsylvania wilderness was the scene for bloodshed and violence. Native Americans and settlers often clashed. Many of these stories have been lost to time, giving the French and Indian war a distant coldness. Dr. William Henry Egle preserved one story in the Pennsylvania Archives Series (1883). The Barnett family struggled amid attacks and war. The Barnetts' son was kidnapped and lived with the Native Americans for three years. This film reenacts the Barnetts’ conflict to personalize the struggles faced in early Pennsylvania history. • ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ • Bibliography • Buxton, John. The Prize.
