Michael DeSimone is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Borderfree. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction and growth of Borderfree’s global ecommerce business, and serves on the Company’s Board of Directors. Michael joined Borderfree as CEO in January 2007. • An ecommerce pioneer, Michael successfully led the transformation of Borderfree from an online currency conversion service, to a provider of global ecommerce solutions for major retailers. Today, the company works with leading brands including Saks Fifth Avenue, J.Crew, Macy’s and Williams-Sonoma, which leverage Borderfree’s market leading technology and services platform to easily expand business into more than 100 countries worldwide. • Michael’s career spans more than 25 years in both the financial services and technology industries. He has held senior roles in sales, operations and product development at Travelex, Citibank and Thomas Cook Financial Services. • Michael joined Borderfree’s predecessor E4X in 2004 as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Appointed to the role of CEO in 2007, Michael led the development of the global ecommerce platform Borderfree is known for today.
