Kenmore Progressive 100 Upright Vacuum

This is my Kenmore Progressive 100 upright vacuum, model 116.38512891 (which I believe to be from 1999 by reading the serial number) that I bought off Ebay. I've always wanted an older non-Direct Drive Progressive since my grandparents' newer Direct Drive model ( • Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum wi... ) just to see how the difference is, and I already find this a really great vacuum. This vacuum features a brush roll on/off feature controlled by a small lever down on the head of the vacuum, that takes the belt away from the shaft to shut the brush roll off for cleaning bare floors. It also has a separate hose attachment that I believe was sold separately since it didn't come with this machine (or it might have been lost by the previous owner), that attaches to the main hose on the machine for an extra long reach which helps greatly when vacuuming stairs. It features a 12 amp motor with clean air design and takes Kenmore Type U bags, and you also can run the new style O type bags that they use on the Intuition and Elite for increased filtration, they both have the same size collar to it should slide right on. The suction and airflow are excellent on this machine and the agitation is pretty good. My only complaints about this machine is that it's quite heavy when lifting it up and down stairs. Overall, I really love this vacuum and is definitely a great product back when they used to be more reminiscent to the Panasonic variant.
