Dead Mexican Knights Templar cartel leader killed by armed forces

Subscribe to ITN News: http://bit.ly/1bmWO8h • Mexico's security commissioner has said the suspected leader of the Knights Templar cartel, Enrique Plancarte, was killed by armed forces on Monday. The commissioner said Plancarte saw the presence of the armed forces in the central state of Queretaro and tried to open fire, the authorities then responded with gunfire. Using facial recognition and his fingerprints, authorities confirmed that the man killed was the notorious cartel leader. The criminal group has created a major security problem for President Enrique Pena Nieto in the western state of Michoacan, where the cartel has been fighting rival gangs.
