#shorts #naruto #anime #boruto • One giant misconception that I’ve seen from fans when discussing the boruto anime is that there are some people who are under the belief that Sasuke magically got the rinnegan again in an anime arc called Sasuke Retsuden, which the anime adapts well after Momoshiki destroyed it in episode 218. Anyone thinking he magically regrew a rinnegan is wrong. So here’s where the confusion comes from. First, the sasuke retsuden story is the middle part of a trilogy of stories kakashi retsuden, sasuke retsuden, and naruto retsuden which follow team 7 as naruto is recovering from the chakra illness that Hagoromo had. This story is set earlier in the boruto timeline, well before Jigen ever came out into the public. The problem is the anime adapted this in the wrong part of the timeline, but if you pay attention to the arc preview Sasuke says that this story took place a long time ago, but fans missed that, as well as Sasuke in the tavern where he says he’s close to that place and is clearly shown going into a flashback recalling past events before he’s later shown in the desert looking out at the moon after he finishes thinking about the past events of his s rank mission.
